Our Team

Alan Tomusiak, PhD
CEO
After earning his degree from Stanford University, Alan developed a deep passion for addressing aging and cancer prevention. He studied age-associated diseases through a PhD at the Buck Institute before founding Permanence Bio to translate these insights into therapies.

Carlos Galicia, PhD
Director of Research
Carlos has long been interested in how aging limits human potential. As an undergraduate at Idaho, he studied CNS regeneration, then earned a PhD in the Biology of Aging at the Buck Institute. Now, as Director of Research at Permanence Bio, he builds systems to discover cancer-preventing compounds.

Eddie Anderton, PhD
Head of Development
Eddie was drawn to longevity, believing aging is our era's most pressing medical problem. He studied Biochemistry at Oxford, then earned a PhD in Aging Biology at the Buck Institute. Now, Head of Development at Permanence Bio, he is spearheading the advancement of lead compounds through IND-enabling studies into the clinic.

Katrina Mae Reyes
Computational Scientist
During her time at UCLA, Katrina researched cancer immunology—how cytokines impact the tumor microenvironment in colorectal cancer. She earned a master's in molecular science and software engineering from UC Berkeley. Now, at Permanence Bio, she builds and validates the AI platform that creates Permanence Bio's compounds.
